Just Friends ist eine Gruppe von Tierliebhabern, die verschiedene Events organisieren um unser Tierheim zu unterstützen. Jeden letzten Mittwoch im Monat organisieren sie ein Essen oder Ähnliches um Spenden für unseren Tierschutzverein zu sammeln.

------------ EVENTS TO JUST FRIEND 2011 ---------------

Welcome to Restaurant Los Marineros

Another new venue for us today and I’m sure you will agree, a lovely setting ! Today´s lunch is 20 Euros, which as normal, includes 5 Euros each for our funds.

Last month we visited the Asadoro de Macher, who seemed a little bit overwhelmed by 46 of us all arriving together – however, friendly staff and some traditional Canarian music made up for any little hiccups ! With the help of some donations and sales, we finished the day with a total of 400 euros for our funds, so thanks to all you who gave your support.

FUTURE EVENTS :

• March 30th – VISIT TO SARA and LA MASIA

Those who want to look around SARA and see how it all works, meet there 11.30. We will then go on to have lunch at LA MASIA, Avenida de Golf, Costa Teguise. Coming from Tahiche, its past the golf course and on the right before the Waterpark. . From Costa Teguise, its on the left just after the Waterpark and well before the golf course. La Masia is set back behind gates.

We can all then meet up for lunch at 1pm.

• April 27th - An old favourite : Casa Benito in the Old Town, Puerto del Carmen (just along from where we are today)

Other dates and venues still to be confirmed.

FINANCES

As you know, we more or less cleared ourselves out at the end of last year when we paid SARA 4700 euros, so we now need to do our best to start building our funds up again.
We start today with a donation of 50 Euros from some recent guests of ‘Lanzarote Accommodation’ – so thanks to them.

WAYS TO HELP SARA

BECOME A MEMBER - Membership of SARA costs as little as 5 euros per month. Regular subscriptions really help the day to day running of the shelter, so if you are not already a member of Sara, please do consider this small commitment – membership forms are available today – don´t be shy !!.

The stall at Teguise Sunday market is a good, regular source of income for SARA donations of books, bric a brac and other items are always needed books in particular, sell really well.
