Balboa

24-05-16

We had just finished our Miaow!Week where luckily a lot of our kittens were adopted! Thanks to that there is rooms in our catery to keep rescueing lifes, like is the case of BALBOA.

This kitten arrived in quite a bad shape, he had been run over in the area of Tahiche-Guatiza in the municipality of Teguise, his little face was quite swollen and his nose was torn.

Little Balboa is only a month and a half and he has already been to hell and back, being knocked down by a car while he walked on the road without knowing how dangerous that is. Most likely his mum and siblings have died on it and he remained alone, fending for himself, suffering the consequences.

Survival of these poor mites in our cities is complicated. An animal can live in the wilderness but not in our towns and cities where there are hundreds of roads and thousands of cars that put end to the life of so many cats in our island, leaving us with hundreds of kittens dead on our roads Emoticono frown

But Balboa did not end up like that, instead he ended up with a hole in his little head, probably as a result of the impact as he was bleeding from the mouth and the nose when he arrived.

This little one was quickly looked after by the Sara Team and in very few days he has improved a lot, his wounds are healing and his fear is turning into affection Emoticono kiki

We could find room for him thanks to all the adoptions that we had last week, hence the HUGE importance of adoption, because only thanks to adoption we can KEEP SAVING LIVES like Balboa's.

Thank you all for adopting! and for helping us keep on rescueing so namy animals that need us.
