Every year we analyze the data from the shelter. This year we have managed to help the astonishing amount of 1003 animals (dogs and cats), (Animals helped at the shelter = entries to the shelter + sterilization campaigns).
★ We take care of animals from the streets as well as from different kennels of the island. Although we collect animals (when we can) from all municipalities, Arrecife and Teguise are still the ones where we take in most animals.
★ We have managed to STERILIZE 765 animals, of which 258 have been animals from our Shelter , 507 have been stray cats in order to control the street colonies so that they do not continue to reproduce and increase (we continue to fight so that there are fewer kittens on the streets and more at homes).
This year over 496 animals have entered the shelter (133 dogs and 363 cats) and 277 animals have been adopted. However, we always need to increase the number of adoptions.
